Help with Harvest & Rain
It is raining here today and it is supposed to be sunny tomorrow. The weather won't hold for me to get through to the end of the month. I must harvest. Will this rain ruin my bud quality??? Should I harvest at the end of the day tomorrow when it all dries off?? I am so worried that this rain is going to take all the Trichomes off the plants. Please help me~!!:wtf:
I also have some plants that are not ready but I still have to cut them down.
I am very bummed out as I have started to see them swell. I am really upset with the rain. I should havce cut them yesterday when it was nice out. I have 3 nights where the weather is going to be in the low 30's coastal which means the 20's here inland.
So when to harvest and is my the quality of my bud ruined for the rain???Atrayou Reviewed by Atrayou on . Help with Harvest & Rain It is raining here today and it is supposed to be sunny tomorrow. Help with Harvest & Rain
No that would require covering the entire garden which would be very costly at this point in the game. IF it were September and I needed another 2 months then I would concider it. So no I can not do a green house. How cold can plants tolorate anyway?? I do have those mesh covers but I do not think they will help with the temps. They are more for frost. The stuff is like that mesh stuf you would use in flower gardens to prevent the weeds form coming up through.
It is supposed to be sunny tomorrow but only in the 50's my days of 60's are over here. Every night I leave them out I am taking chances. Just need to know if it is okay to harvest tomorrow and should I wait until the end of the day so the bus dry up?? Is this rain washing off the THC???
I need help on trimming also. I do have a jewelry loop which magnifies things really close. I know that those tiny leaves throughout the buds are full of Trichomes so do I leave them on? Or do I cut them off??? ( to me that seems not right since they look like they have trichomes on them ) But I notice that some people trim their buds up tight and close. Also should I leave the top fingers right on the stem or cut the buds off??? Which would be taking apart the nivce guerilla fingers?? Now I am hearing on the weather reports that it is going to get into the 30's tonight. Can I cover if the plants are wet from rain??? Or will this cause mold??? Man I have so many questions.....I have gotten them this far I hate to lose them because of lack of knowledge. This would be very sad.

try to let them dry out for several days where they're at after a rain otherwise they'll take for-fucking-ever to dry inside.
trimming...get yourself a small pointy pair of scissors...i use mustache trimmers. you won't need a magnifying glass to trim so once you're sure they're ready for harvest you can put it away until needed for the next grow.
follow each leaf stem to as close to the trunk/branch as you can then snip. you don't want little stems showing so get in as close as possible. for the little leaves growing out of the flowers, just cut as you would a head of hair following the edge of the buds while only cutting enough to make a clean looking bud. i suggest trimming in two stages...one for getting them ready to dry where all fan leaves are removed along with the buds "getting shaved" then a 2nd time when you're getting ready to store them in jars. you'll be cutting down the bigger buds off of the stems/branches to thumb-size which gives you a chance to get those leaves that were too far buried for the 1st trim...but trimming is an individual thing and once you have them looking how you like you stop. this takes practice and with time you'll have them looking like they just came from a cali co-op!

Seattlesmoke's right. Rain wont wash the trichomes off. It does however increase the chance of Bud Rot dramatically
