Palin and Big Oil... Connection? I think so!

    hey daihashi

you're talking to me again! YAY!

it's not on youtube...it was an internet ad on their website

    funny story:
another attack ad on the conservative website featured a photo of the liberal leader, with a tiny cartoon bird flying across the top of the screen, and dropping a little white bird poop on the liberal leader's shoulder

    the funny bit:
the conservative prime minister pulled the ad and personally apologized for going over the line...HA!

here's an article about the poop ad and the apology:
TheStar.com - Dion accepts Harper's apology over puffin poop ad

be careful of what you wish for: you might just get it...canadian elections are way less fun than american elections...watching politicians debate issues is BORING! the entire world is fixated on every american election...it's the best show on the planet...more fun than a brawl in the taiwanese parliament!

About the article, I thinks its nonsense, but to answer the hypothetical question, "who do you think is keeping that oil in the ground", I don't think the environmentalists could have that big of a voice in the matter. The conspiracy-theorist in me just wanted to share that little article with you.

Also, I did not find my words to be that nasty, more realistic... And Bush? Are you kidding me? I actually lived in the U.S. for 6 of those years, before the housing and economic crisis, and can say that IN MY OPINION, he is puppet, and not even a good one at that. And Palin? "Gosh Darn It!" It doesn't take smarts to get into office in America, it takes money, and friends.

    BigTopsFinn, Out again

calling the President a 'complete idiot' is nasty dude, especially from someone
not American! i guess even an idiot can earn an MBA!

maybe you should concern yourself with politics in your own country rather
    than insulting others political leaders.

mind your own business, as a foriegner, your opiniion is of no consequence.
    gol dang it!

I am an American, and I do not think Bush is an idiot, but I do think he is a high-functioning moron. And before you get on my case for calling him a moron, remember I said "high-functioning!"

as a moron, you don't earn a Bachelor's degree from Yale and an MBA from
Harvard, no matter how 'high-funtioning' you are.

then you don't realize the power of one of america's most influential special interest groups. just look around, green is the new buzz word and to gainsay the tree-huggers' network is to put your political career in dire peril. the media has wholeheartedly embraced the cause and it is used to sell everything from diapers to cars. after all, who can deny the importance of our environment? only the sort of pains we are going through now could ever get any but the most suicidal of these political animals to even suggest drilling in the holy shrines of nature. for decades the needs of the people have placed a poor second to the desires of environmentalists to leave nature undisturbed. should the fanatics of peta get their way, we'll be coming in third behind roaches and house flies.

Ha ha! I don't want to diminish the quality of these great schools, but yeah, the rich and connected can get admitted to them with substandard qualificatons, and they can get through with passing grades without much effort.

Honestly though, Bush is clearly not really an idiot or moron. My honest impression is that he is someone who is used to privilege and power and having connections get him through life. He wasn't ready to be president, so he relied on on advice of people who were willing to manipulate him for their own purposes. I don't think he is really even a bad guy inside, despite the despicable things he has done. I think he was weak and vulnerable after a lifetime of being coddled and he was used because of it.
