Firstly, I must admit that I am not that politically active, and only view it from the side from time to time. After living in America for 17 years, I left to return to my home country, but still have family in the states, so I like to see whats going on over there...

Now to the point. Bush was the governor of Texas before being president. There is a lot of oil in Texas. Palin is the governor of Alaska. There is a lot of oil in Alaska. Both are complete idiots and have no idea about how to run a country. Coincidence? I think not...

There are some oil companies who would love to start drilling in Alaska, hence all the talk in the McCain/Palin campaigns about drilling on American soil/offshore.

It is sad for me to think that America will once again be run by the big corporations. I don't know much about Obama, but it wouldn't surprise me if he also had someone(corporate America) stuffing his pockets (in addition to the alleged terrorists)...

One more thing, a little off topic, but I read an article online which claimed Alaska to have more oil than Saudi Arabia, better quality too! This was found in the 1970's, but shut down by the government... This much oil would definitely lower the market prices, lowering profits for the oil companies. I am not saying I believe it to be true, but it wouldn't surprise me, AT ALL.
