There are lots of books on basic electricity, and wiring. I would suggest you do a little homework, and maybe talk to the folks at your local electrical supply house.

They are only necessay if your using loads over 600w + for lighting as apparently household timers are simply not designed to handle the power loads.....and i recently discovered this to be true when bust my contactor and decided to give it ago without one, and for sure it frazzled my timer (digital) and the light times were all ova the place:upsidedow Rating: 5
