Just because this is marijuana related, i will chime in on partisan politics.

I do believe that Obama will be much more open minded in regards to America's drug policy, if for nothing else the fact that blacks are much more under fire than anyone else in regards to drugs. Being that he is a black man, hopefully he will do something about the proverbial glass door that the war on drugs creates for minorities, more specifically blacks.

An interesting statistic: African American teenagers represent the highest unemployment rate of any demographic at a little over 29%...

Think about the money we spend jailing people for non violent drug offenses, and then think of the lost production due to black market incentives (no pun intended). The money that can be taxed, combined with the increased production that can be taxed, and we have an effective tool to not only deal with spending issues, but social equality issues without granting nearly as much favoritism of race (affirmative action)...
