What STRAIN are you growing? Cheese cross??? I know its a cheese but I don't know what it was crossed with.
What was the establishing technique? from clone
What is the age of your plants? these were vegged 1 week then put into flower. They are now 3 1/2 weeks into 12/12
What PHASE are the plants in? (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? Flower
What Technique are you using? Flood Drain
What substrate/medium are you using? Silica stones
What is the Nutrient temperature? 72 to 78
What Nutrient's are you using? a very good mix that a foaf mixes for me. I have used it to grow Bigbud and it works great! None of this stuff going on with bigbud. I can give you the PPM breakdown if you need it But its almost Identical to most Popular Hydro nutes out there.
What is the TDS/EC/PPM you are using? With the BB I always used 1300 PPM. But Thats too strong for this cheese. Trying it now at 900 ppm
What is the pH of the "Tank"?
I usually keep it at 5.8 and let it drift up to 6.3
Are you sure your calibration is correct on your equiptment?
Yes just checked it
What size bulb are you using? 1000watt HPS
What is the distance to the canopy? 2 ft
What is your RH Factor? 45
What is the canopy temperature? 72 night to 85 day
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.) lots of fans
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
yes
Is your water HARD or SOFT? Hard
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned off of or pinched
Cloned off 2 weeks ago
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so, What and When?
NO
Are plant's infected with pest's No
I got these beans from a FOAF I germ ed them and sexed them and now these are clones from the seed mother
In veg they look great! see the pics
Then in bloom I get these yellow leaves??? I started them out at 500 ppm and ran them up to 1300 after the first week. I always did this with BB and never had a problem.
At first I thought I had a mag def (even tho my nutes have 76 PPMS of mag)
So I added a cup of Epsom salt to my 100 gal tank. No help!?????
I dumped that tank last Sunday and flushed for 24 hours then added nutes to 900 PPM after 24 hrs ph went up from 6 to 6.9 HOWEVER the ppms also went up! So That tells me its still too high! I also see the leaf curl! So I just dumped the tank again. Washed it with Peroxide and am filling the tank now.
I need some expert advice here! I am an idiot with a new strain! Please share your thoughts!
WHY is it so damm hard to grow a freaking WEED????????
Pics are of the Mother then veg plants then the troubled plants.

We meet again, Mr. Farts.
Dump the res IMMEDIATELY. A cup of epsom salts is way too much (unless your res is the size of a small town water supply cistern) and you may already have caused irreversible damage.
Is this the first time you have run this strain in silica stones, and are these stones designed for growing cannabis in hydro? I am concerned with additional minerals leaching off the medium (acid solutions leach off mineral and metal substances faster than neutral ones) into your ALREADY hard water.
Would you happen to have a water report on your hard water? What is it that contributes the hardness, CaCO3, sulfur, iron, ....?
I'm going to suggest switching to a 'hard water formula' hydroponic nute system IMMEDIATELY and save the home-mixed nutes for the more forgiving medium of soil, where it has been working for you. I fear the ppm of your solution, while it looks REALLY low for the Cheese (Skunks feed heartily, if not hoggishly), that ppm may be contributed by 'junk' components that your plant can't use or doesn't like. That plant looks starved but suffering and in absence of the tip-burn associated with overfert, I think it's the formulation of your nute system and the hardness of your water and a possible interaction with the medium.
Just out of curiosity- ask your friend if he/she adds a significant level of organic acids to that system.

What is differant exactly in hardwater nutes? Lower FE?

Oh. Huh. That's not actually all that hard. I was expecting spoon-stands-up-in-coffee-cup hard. You can run calmag up to about 300ppm on base just fine.
Hard water nutes contain lower mineral levels; I would not be surprised if Sulfur was included in that. You'd have to look up the levels- the GH and GH hardwater comparison would help you see better. It's gotta be posted somewhere, lol.
I'm still wondering about those rocks. Just out of curiosity- as your pH drifts up, does your EC drift up as well, over a relatively short period of time (chemical reaction with rocks vs. plants feeding down the nute strength or evap raising it)?

I was thinkin..... Since it is a heavy indica perhaps I am just underfeeding it? But then the ppm should be going down not steady right? I dont know I am loosing it here!:cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing: :cursing:

I also Give the tank 1 cup of Humic acid once a week (100gal Tank) and I spray seaweed on them at night about 3 times a week.
