Hey Smoke,I would say alot depends on where you are at.Certain parts of the state have a longer season than others.I knew someone up by Bellingham that had serious mold set in almost overnight in mid Sept.a few years ago.Night time temps in the upper 40s and rain.Get something that finishes early unless you are more inland, but that has its own set of problems, mostly any cover at all.Take care and be well, and most of all be safe.

I had my first outdoor plant this year. Didn't turn out so well. It didn't start to flower until the first of Sept. and was cut down at first of Oct. because of the weather. The strain was Northern Lights, the plant was 7ft tall when harvested and yet only yielded a 1/4p. I think something that finishes fast and doesn't take forever to start the flowering process is the way to go. Next year I'll probably try ak47xc99 as it starts to flower fast when put in 12/12 when grown indoors compaired to the Northern Lights.
Also make sure you dig a huge hole with lots of good soil, and put in an area that gets lots of light. Good luck.

My plan is to do autoflowering strains.. A QP is a respectable amount for a plant to yeild.. I am going to hike out 5 gallon buckets full of foxfarm soil with the tops on and bury them with the handles sticking out for next year.. Thanks for the input guys.

i hav grown outdoors in washington two years in a row. Its pretty tricky but you can get the hang of it. It is true that the weather up here kinda sucks for growin outdoors but you just have to cross your fingers and start early. I usually start indoors and move outdoors around late april early may somtimes thats not possible. Like this last summer it was so shitty i didn't get any bud rot this years becaus i harvested around mid septmber. Last year i waited till second week in october and had a few top kolas rot (most depressing thing ever). pretty much its trial and error up here. The only chemicals i use are alaskan fish fretilizer and organic bug spray. just be careful especially if your gorillan it.

I have perfected outdoor washington growing...greenhouse and some creative nature tricking are best...1. make the floor of your green house your "pot". create the best soil possible. 2 start early as you can..as soon as there is 12 + hrs of daylight. 3. use inner black plastic lining to reduce light to under 12 hours daily when your ready. IE, roll it up at 8 am and down at 8 pm...do this early enough so that plants finish with before mold is a problem. 4. Grow early finishing strains, I suggest Grapefruit! 45 days finished.
