hey HazzeyB, can you post those pictures here on our forum so we can
see some detail, those imageshake thumbnail sized shots don't allow for
enough detail to really see what you want us to see. they're just not
    detailed enough to help you.

much better with the pics. i can't see the light too well so maybe you could
take a pic of the light when the light is off.

anyway, first, you planted your seeds too deep in the cups, put some more
soil in there so that there is only about 1/2 inch of space between the dirt
and the rim of the cup. the air needs to flow around the plant, even at the
base. that will help with the stretching problem too, although it isn't really a
problem yet (when you do your first transplant, just bury it almost up to the
first set of leaves, the stem that you bury will sprout roots)

also, your soil looks like straight dirt, no fillers like perlite or vermiculite, if
so, you need to switch to a better soil mix, there are plenty to choose from.
just, with seedlings, you don't want to use Miracle Grow, it's loaded with
    fertilizers that will kill it.

come on by my imaginary garden and you might see something that will
spark some inspiration. if not, there are hundreds of really good threads
    for you to learn from.

anyway, good luck, and don't forget to have fun. if it aint fun, why bother?
