First CFL Grow (Help Appreciated) Pics Included Well after reading for months, I decided that the CFL Method would probally be the easier and Cheapest way to go. My Setup as is Follow 4 - 26w CFLs 1 - 62w CFL 180w @ 12000- 12500 Lumens 1:1 Ration or Cool to Warm I have Most of the lighting no more than 8 inches away from the New Plant. The seed is just from a Good sack that i purchased from a good man. Nothing like WHITE widow or anything crazy but good High high Mid Bud. Its in a Gun Case(L=3ft W=2ft H= 6ft) with glass sliding Rating: 5

the improper pH won't help the plant, thats for sure. since you're in soil, i'd get a mid-range pH tester at any aquarium/fish store (maybe even wal-mart). i got mine at a local fish shop for 7 bucks. good for 200+ tests. stay away from the test strips as even touching them with bare skin can cause deviations of true readouts. the kit i bought has a little vial that you fill to the 5mL mark and add 2 drops of test solution. shake it up, and read the color against the chart provided. there are some ways to adjust pH without buying the "pH up/pH down" stuff. research the boards here and you'll find them, but i'd reccomend getting the real deal.
the mylar emergency blanket might be perfect. they are engineered to keep heat in, so why not?
those 4' fluoros might be worth a look, but i tried 2 of them of either side of my current grow and since removing them (about 2.5 months ago), i've noticed no decrease in growth. couldn't hurt though. all depends on how high your folks will let the electric bill creep up. :jointsmile:

Thx! heres sum pics of my "Gurl" Anyways looks alot better I flushed a little cuz the soil u been usin since seedling is MG with NPK. So the leaves perked back up and it grew alot more in 1 day then 3-4 days. So hopefully more will come. Will have pics of the box i was workin on tomarrow. Peace

Is this Indica or Sativa Dominant. and How can i tell for future Reference?

looks sativa to me.
fat leaves, stocky plant usually = sativa
thinner leaves, taller plant = indica
just so you know, sativas usually require a longer flower time.

I think you mean the other way around

Sativas have tall thinner leaves and Indicas have short fat bushy plants

but yea, sativas take longer to flower
