Hydroponic Question
ph is always supposed to be between 5.5 and 7. ph of 6.5 is ideal. I don't know about ppm though as I never monitor it. I may start though so I know when its time to change out nutes for sure.

Hydroponic Question
PH should be 5.8 to 6.2. other wise you start nute lock out.
PPM's can depend on water, nutes and add ons. I have got mine close to 200 in the past but some plant can't stand it. During flower about 800 ppm's with R/O water. Then calmag and any add ons will bring it up to 1200 ppm's or so.
Hydro water temp should be kept at 68 to 72. Best point of oxy levels in water.

Hydroponic Question
Wash you plants off with a warm solution of b1 plant tranplant solution.
Ph around 5.5 and the ppm is dependant on where it starts out and what the plants like. I always use a solution thats about 1200 above the ambiant soution.
Now heres where you start , If the plants have a 1/16 ti 1/8 in leaf tip burn and look healthy , you ppm is about right.
The number one rule of growing with water is a good ppm and ph meter.
The whole idear of growing with hydroponics is to maximize the growing.
With hydro is to remember the rule of thumbs , if you thumb is brown wash the system out with water , if you thumb looks green and is growing at max speed . be happy, ALWAYS REMEMBER IF ANYTHING LOOKS GOOOFIE FLUSH THE HELL OUT OF THEM AND RESTART. It usualy takes 3 days to see what appened, so watch you plants.
The reason people spend so much money and time with ferts , is CAUSE ITS CHEAPER. The 10-10-10 etc are ferts but do not contain all the trace chems to maximize the plant grooooooth.
Ferts is the cheapest thing of growing, next is lighting , fans, pumps, and attorney fees.
I am so lazy at growing I do it with a computer, its a weed

Hydroponic Question
both veg and flowering. the key is to make sure ppm increases GRADUALLY. one more thing drmaryjane, be careful with "ppm" quotes, they are often misleading. ppm is not a universal measurement, it is used differently by different companies/users. for example, it is often read as "ec x 700" or "ec x 500" where "ec" stands for electrical conductivity. the only standard measurement is electrical conductivity, which for us will range between 0 and about 4. if you naively listened to that gentlemens quote of 2000 ppm at a conversion rate of ec x 500, u would surely kill your plants in a short period of time. hell, even at x 700 conversion they're bound to get burned. i stick with ec since it is universal, and it should range from 1.2 for clones to about 2 for plants in vigorous veg stage. that's 1400 ppm @ x 700 conversion and 1000 @ x 500 conversion at peak feeding levels. i don't know what kind of conversion that gentlemen is using to feed his plants 2000 ppm, but its off my scales.
best advice i can give is just go by the directions on the box/bottle. they are designed to give you adequate ppm levels without having to measure afterwards. a note about those numbers - they are designed for systems using ro water at 0 ppm. if you're using tap water at, say, 200 ppm, you'll want to add that much to whatever number you end up with to match it with the company charts. hope this helps, peace.Serious Seeds Chronic Grow Log 1000W DWC SOG
