I understand that petty name calling is not allowed. But is telling someone that they posted out of pure ignorance an insult? If so, then i will refrain from the future, but i put about 35 minutes in that last post, of which the majority was in fact relevant, and central to my debate.

It would have been helpful to actually view what is not allowed, that way i can make a mental note to refrain in the future.

I have the last post saved in Microsoft office, so could i know what is considered offensive, that way i may remove it and repost?

I don't believe it is; but then again I'm not a moderator. The word ignorant or ignorance is not insulting as it simply means having a lack of knowledge or education. That is not an insult nor may it necessarily be the person's fault. However by posting information you are trying to inform/educate them.

It seems to always been the mod's stance that this is name calling (I've had a number of my posts with the word "ignorant" in them removed) and i'd probably just refrain from using it in the future.

Too many people on this site are hyper sensitive and I can understand the mess it may cause for mods.

EXACTLY! This type of wording is a precursor for a flame war and considered by many as being a personal attack. On forums like these people will reply with a "screw you asshole" but in real life it could end up with somebody dusting the pavement with their ass. Either way, it's NOT allowed in here.

IF people are posting out of ignorance or are ignorant, it shouldn't need to be pointed out during a debate for obvious reasons.
