    2nd Grow - Mystery Seeds

    Mystery Budz

    Hello and Goodâ??eh
Fresh Post from a new user and a 2nd time grower.

Located in Southern Ontario, Iâ??m assuming everyone knows about the climates. Long story short, I obtained a handful of miscellaneous seeds and decided to germinate and pot a few.

3 Mommas and 4 poppaâ??s arose. Pulled the poppaâ??s and lost a female due to an overzealous cat. One is definitely a Sativa and the other is either an Indica or Hybrid. Thanks too all the rain weâ??ve had these past couple of weeks, I had to pull one (which is some type of Sativa strand) due to a milky residue forming on the leaves. To this day one is still in the ground.

I donâ??t believe it has frosted yet but Iâ??d like to run this by the cult. Previous to the chilly weather the buds were looking nice and green and the hairs were brightening to a prime orange colour. There was not a hint of purple in the buds. With temperature fluctuating (Highâ??s of 20C and lows of 7C) there seems to be a formation of Purple on the buds themselves now... Not on the fan leaves whatsoever. Could this be the strain? Iâ??ve heard wives tails about frost causing the plant to change colour... but only the tiny leaves in the buds?

So my questions to the people are:
    1) Is the discolouration due to the strand? Will a bud change colour to purple this late in the flowering stage? (about 8 weeks or so)
    2) Based on the pictures of the trichs, would it be wise to pull it within the week?
    3) Any guesses to the type of strain? It smells a little bit like grape Hubba Bubba

If anyone is interested, Iâ??ve documented the Sativa strand from a wee little one to the pulling of it. Itâ??s not posted but I suppose I could put up the pics. My main concern is with the Plant still in the ground.

Below I have posted some pretty clear pictures for your viewing pleasure.
    Any information would be appreciated

    CHEERS!

low temps during the dark cycle can cause purple-ing. as far as i know, it can affect leaf stems or flowers.

    They're getting purple-err -

Here's a recent pic.. about a 2 day spread from the original post.
You can definately see the difference.

As the title says "this is my second grow"... I was never aware of the Trichs before... Based on "experience" - do you feel these buds are ready for plucking?

    Cheers! And thanks for looking

You are very close. I would say from here it looks like about a week out. I still see some sparklies though- get a magnifyer and look to make sure all the crystals are cloudy before you harvest. A few sparkly clear ones are not a big deal but you want mostly cloudy with about 10-20% amber. More amber means more body. More clear/cloudy means more head. Your call. I'd say give it a week but you're the one who can go look at the plants closer... nice garden!

 STinky - You rock my world, I noticed that you run a forum for troubleshooting plants - GoldenGrahm mentioned that it's normal to see the flowers and or leafstems turn puple in this climate around this time of the year. Is it normal for them to curl up likey they are?

I've touched them and they don't seem brittle or anything. Can't see mold, just trichs and flowers; with much purpleness developing each day.

At this time of the year.. they just get rain water and previous to that.. it's all composted soil year round with distilled water.

Anywho - Your dictionary like knowledge would be much appreciated

at this point, i'd actually say that looks like part of that strain. didn't mean to confuse, just handing down what i've read and seen. looks great btw and i am super jealous. :hippy:
