Hey (sorry I can't help more than has already been done) I got a question, in that pic what is the two liter thinga-ma-jigger in the bottom right hand corner?
Your plants look great in that pic by the way.\"If you\'re in a bad situation, don\'t worry it\'ll change. If you\'re in a good situation, don\'t worry it\'ll change.\"

The soda bottle item in the bottom right is a self watering mechanism using a soda bottle, some soil, and cotton string with a pool of water in the bottom portion. I love it
Yes, yes, I've been hearing the whole "you need pots" thing a lot. I do plan on transplanting them to individual pots. Thought the container they're currently in is just fine for a good while. The roots don't need to compete for water, there is plenty going around. When I water, if I hear it dripping into the boxes beneath it, thats how I know the soil is sufficiently wet and that all the roots should have sufficient water to drink.

Nifty little item.
I was wondering, is it tough getting them out of the Rubbermaid w/out cutting the roots all up?\"If you\'re in a bad situation, don\'t worry it\'ll change. If you\'re in a good situation, don\'t worry it\'ll change.\"

Since I'll be investing in pots. I did the math on the dimensions of the box and I believe for this grow, round pots with a 5 inch diameter seem to be the best choice.
In my future grows, pretty soon, probably right after this one, I'll be doing sea of green. I know the rule of thumb for SoG is 4 plants per square foot. But I was thinking of fitting 6 per square foot. Which, in 4 inch diameter pots, would equal to 21 clones. Do 4 inch pots with a depth of maybe 6-7 inches sound good? Or should I do 7 inch diameter pots with around the same depth?
Thanks!

Are those 26w cfl's??? You're lighting is not up to par, even for veg. You need a lot more light, when you go 12/12 do yourself a favor and buy a $100 250 or 400w hps off ebay. You won't regret it. I just started posting my grow using 6 26w cfls and 3 42w cfls and i plan on using a 400w hps to flower them. Ventilation is the only problem, i plan on solving it by venting to another room, i just hope a 4in inline HD fan will do the job! Plants are looking better bro, 24/7 won't kill em but it sure doesn't do them any good. I made the same mistake the first 2wks of my current grow and on top of that I used a aquarium light, way out of the plants light spectrum and it still didn't kill them! but they pretty much stopped growing until they saw the cfl's

If your on a very short veg cycle (2 weeks) with the clones you may be able to pull off the 6 plants per square foot. If your planning on cramming all those plants into a small space why waste money on round planters when what you really need is some square planters. A quick lighting reminder, 5000 lumens for every 1 square foot. Each 23 or 26 watt CFL only puts out 1600 lumens.
