to everyone on this site & their very helpful info. I'm an old stoner ( 50 & daily smoker for 35 plus years) that was laid off back in June after being with the company for 13 years. I havent taken an employment drug test in about 20 years and knew things had changed a lot so I was very unsure of how things would go down these days. I have been reading this board for weeks now because I was sure my prospective new employer was going to want a drug test. I was right.

I have had to take probation urine tests & knew what to expect with them, they only go back a few days in Texas & I knew when my p.o. was going to pop me so I just laid off the smoke & diluted for a couple of weeks & all was cool.

THIS time however I really didnt know what to expect. So I read everything on this forum, read all of the links about privacy & what have you. I didnt really have the money or the time to order any QF so I used my daughter's urine. She is completely drug free except for basically the same 'scripts I am on. I was worried about hair & blood tests but I figured that the small company I am going to work for would not want to shell out the bucks for those tests. At least I HOPED so anyway. Plus I havent smoked over 3 joints in the past 3 weeks because of money issues but knew that was not enough time to be clean as I have more body fat than needed.

I bought 2 clean 3 oz. shampoo bottle from Walmart. So, on Wednesday she peed for me & I stuck one bottle in the freezer & kept one in the fridge in case I needed to go this week. I was called to go in today so I put it out on the counter for a couple of hours to get to room temp, zapped it in the microwave ( mine took 20 seconds by the way) and stuck the 3 oz. bottle under my boob in my bra. Luckily I have big saggy breasts...(TMI I know) so it fit perfectly & kept toasty warm with just a regular bra, therre wasno need for me to pad. I temp tested it about an hour later & it was a perfect 97.4 so off I went.

I was nervous about the hair & blood thing as I stated but I had no need to be. I signed in, put my stuff in the locker, had a picture taken, was handed a cup, went in to the bathroom & poured the bottle into the cup. It was above the line. I also peed a bit in the toilet & tossed in toilet paper so there was no reason for her to question the results. The temp thingy was right on with my thermometer. I handed it to her. She capped it, checked the toilet, flushed it. I signed the label on the cup, the CCF, was given a copy of it & off I went. One thing that was very different from 20 years ago was that they did not ask me if I had taken any medications. I guess with a 5 panel they are not concerned with them. Back in the day you had to tell them if you had taken an aspirin.

I start on Monday morning! I'm not worried about the results because the color was perfect as was the temp & I know she is drug free. I AM going to order some QF to carry in my purse just in case they do randoms but I doubt that they do.

Anyway, THANKS to everyone here & the wisdom & experiences they have shared. It made things go a lot more smoothly than I had expected plus I was at ease because there were NO suprises. I wish I could share a bowl with ALL of you!!! imp:
