    New Rules For Washington

The new rules have been set. Pretty poor as we all expected. The oddest part of the new rules is"The rule also removes the requirement for a doctor to provide written documentation for a patient to exceed the limit in the rule." So what they are saying is you can grow as much as you want. Makes no sense. And you can't generate 24 ounces finished product in 2 months with 15 plants.5 for cloning,5 for vegging and 5 for flowering. How can you get 5 plants to produce 12 ounces per month?

Definition of 60-Day Supply of Medical Marijuana

The department has adopted the rule defining a 60-day supply of marijuana for medical use under the state’s medical marijuana law. The rule becomes effective on November 2, 2008.

The rule includes changes made after careful consideration of comments received from the public. The new rule removes the definition of mature and immature plants and simply sets the total number of plants at 15. The 24-ounce total for useable marijuana has not changed. The rule also removes the requirement for a doctor to provide written documentation for a patient to exceed the limit in the rule.

The Department of Health has issued a press release regarding the final rule. A summary of the comments received and final significant analysis are also available.

I COULDNT AGREE MORE THAT THE LAWS ARE HEAVILY FLAWED, HOWEVER I ALSO HAVE TO ADMITT IN MANY WAYS I FEEL QUITE FORTUNATE, PARTICULARLY IN COMPARISON WITH OTHER STATES. I ALSO BELIEVE VAGUE LAWS GIVE OUR ATTORNEY A LARGER ARENA TO PRACTICE IN. OBVIOSLY THESE LAWS WILL BE CONTINUOSLY REFINED. I DONT FEEL THE CHANGES COMING WILL BE ANY IMPROVEMENT FOR THE PATIENTS, QUITE TO CONTRARY. TRYING TO WORK WITHIN THESE PARAMETERS AND STILL HAVE ADAQUATE MEDS IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE. CREATIVITY IS A MUST, BECAUSE BY TRADITIONAL APPROACHES MOST PATIENTS WILL FALL FAR SHORT OF MEETING THEIR MEDICAL MJ NEEDS. I BELIEVE AS THE LAWS ARE NOW, FOR A PATIENT TO BECOME SELF SUSTAINED IT MAY TAKE YEARS. PATIENTS ARE FORCED INTO MED FAMINE LASTING AS LONG AS IT TAKES FOR THEM TO BECOME FLUENTLY PRODUCTIVE WITHIN THE NARROW MARGINS OF THE LAW. BEFORE A PATIENT IS ABLE TO PRODUCE ANY MEDICINE MANY OBSTACLES MUST BE OVERCOME SOMETIMES ITS AN ISSUE OF LIMITED ACCESS TO PRODUCTIVE STRAINS, SOMETIMES ITS PURELY FINANCIAL, SOMETIMES ITS LACK OF GROWING EXPERIENCE, SOMETIMES ITS A LACK OF TECHNICAL SKILLS NECCASARY TO SET UP A SAFE GROW, SOME TIMES ITS PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS, ETC., ETC..UNLESS A PATIENT CAN AFFORD TO GO OUT AND BUY MEDS WHICH MANY OF US CANT, THEY SIMPLY MUST DO WITHOUT. WHERAS IF THE NUMBER REQUIREMENT WHERE HIGHER PATIENTS WOULD BECOME SELF SUSTAINED MUCH FASTER LEAVING THEM A LITTLE MARGIN FOR ERROR (FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE NOT MASTER GARDNERS.) THE SUFFERING PATIENTS MUST ENDURE UNTIL THEYRE ACTUALY ABLE TO ACCESS MEDICINE IS WHAT DISTURBS ME MOST ABOUT THE CURRENT LAW. ALTHOUGH IM A SECOND YEAR PATIENT I STILL HAVENT HAD MY FIRST HARVEST, WHICH SEEMS MORE COMMON THAN NOT AMONGST PATIENTS AROUND MY AREA. I BELIEVE A QAULIFIED PATIENT SHOULD BE FREE TO RESORT TO WHATEVER MEANS (OR NUMBERS) ARE NECASARY TO EXPEDITE ACCESS TO RESONABLE AMOUNTS OF MEDS. ID LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR POINTING OUT TO OTHERS THE PORTION THAT APPLIES TO EXEEDING LIMITATIONS. (LEAVES LOTS OF ROOM FOR INTERPRATATION, OR ARGUMENT). ALSO THO WHOLE 60 DAY SUPPLY IS VERY MUCH SELF CONTRADICTIVE, I AGREE WITH YOU THERE AS WELL. BUT AGAIN MUST SAY I FEEL QUITE THANKFULL TO BE A PATIENT BEFORE THESE LAWS ARE REFINED EVEN FURTHER. DIABETICS ARENT FORCED TO DO WITHOUT INSULIN FOR EXTENDED TIMES, NIETHER SHOULD WE BE WITHOUT OUR MEDICINE FOR EXTENDED PERIODS.

Actually they did end up leaving a loophole for growing more if you have a medical neccesity. SO you can grow more but it probably makes you more of a target for leos.

5 plants a month is more than 12 ozs.....if you know what you are doing.

I get 6 ozs a plant or more...... off 5 plants I will get 30 ozs.... almost 2 lbs a month no problem

ive seen several friends try to achieve such success and fall far short of producing this kind of volume. im still learning but the closest ive been able to come is to harvest once annualy with gargantuan sized plants. then to store it for the year. however if you know how to do this perpetualy id be much abliged for any tips to get me headed in that direction. i would much preffer that all my growing be done indoors for security reasons not to mention the elk can devistate my whole years work in about a half hour i spend many sleepless nights. i wonder if any of the strains im working with would work using youre method? im open to any new knowledge youd be willing to spare!!! at the end of this cycle i plan to invest in some better equipment. do you have any recomendations??????thanks in advance!!!!

The strains I have found to produce really well are Sour Diesel and Bubba Kush

Bubba Kush is my favorite as far as quickness and weight...Veg it for 6 weeks... it will finish flowering in 7 weeks or 49-50 days of 12/12..... 6 ozs

You can veg the Sour D for about 4-5 weeks....Sour diesel flowers alittle longer about 9-10 weeks or 60 days of 12/12......8-9 ozs

You will need 2 areas.....I use a 12x12 ft area for my 24/7 light area... it has 4-1000 watt mh in it and then I have a 10x10 ft area for 24 hours total darkness.

Pull your 5 starts once a month.... this way you have your cycle of harvesting 5 plants a month.....when its time to flower you stick the flowering plants in your dark area for 12 hours then 12 hours later stick them back in the light.

As your cycle continues you will have 10 plants in split into 2 groups of 5 being switched every 12 hours wil the other 5 are still in veg under the 24/7 light.....this allows you up to 8 weeks for your flower time

thank you for your quick and informative overview i am going to see if i can find these strains but it will likely take a while. in the meantime id like to work with a simmilar method i have the following strains to work with maybe youre familiar with one of them and might work until my bubba kush-sour diesel strains arrive: trainwreck,neville-blue haze, peach, purple kush, damn, grandaddy purple. also as an electrician i always have piles and piles of metal halide ballasts. in the past when i flowered with them my buds grew sparse/spindly and never got real dense. part of this i could attributte to overcrowding in the room. interesting to hear metal halide is working so well for you!! are using a hydro system if so what style? how large are youre plants ending up by the end of theyre veg cycle? thank you again for youre time

With this I get 6 ozs bubba...8-9 ozs Sour D .....4 ozs Purple kush...I use 1000 watter for every 6x6 area....YES space inbetween your plants is a must
