i mean, we hear too often that our supposedly most secure servers and networks get hacked into by a bunch of chinese
even FBI n CIA are not too safe on internet
but, imagine this: there are far far too many things of "illegal" matter in eyes of the law going on on the www, only the very serious get a crackdown in the real world, like terrorist sites and child porn sites.
just imagine how many people do the illegal p2p activities and how many of them get busted, that is far far more serious of a crime than just "talking" about weed. In fact its considered a felony and theft (violation of copyright)
yet those sites, even some within the US and many of their users located in the US are relatively safe, big brother just does not have all that much power to take care of all of these stuff nor is it to anyones benefit to spend so much money and time to make a case which is very easily dismissable on various grounds. It will be very hard to prove u have actually done something, by only finding u practicing your right to free speech and dialog on an international online community.
and I do not think any info on this site alone constitutes issuance of a warrant for individual investigations
now, as others have said, u have many ways to increase your safety with simply not providing any identifiable info. your only identifiable info will be your ip, which again its like that on every single site on internet if someone is on to u, to get ya!
u can totally resign from internet if u feel paranoid that much, cuz u r identifable if someone really wants to do it.
its like saying u get an alarm for the house, u increase your relative safety
but if a gang is really up to doin some shit to u or your property, no alarm is going to guarantee ur safety.
look how many banks get robbed, how many people get killed/robbed in front of cameras with a ton of evidence left out, and yet how many of these criminals are just never found.
IMHO generally speaking u have less chance of getting busted by posting on this site, than by riding dirty or high out there on the streets
plus, there are programs for not too expensive of a price that will HIDE your IP and identity on internet, just do a google and u see what i mean
