A proxy is useless IMO.. I'll just say my line of work partially lays in security. Proxy servers are simply 1 hop away from your computer; which they can pull that information from the proxy server itself.

However what is useful in addition to a proxy server is to spoof your mac address. If your mac-address is spoofed no one can say with 100% certainty that activity actually came from YOUR specific computer, but it would still lead back to your public IP address.

In which case you would use the argument that someone must've stolen your wifi connection somehow :thumbsup:
