Burned Top please help!
ok so im growing in a cab and im in 3rd week of flowering.
the problem is i didnt check on it for 24 hours and my plant grew to touching the 250w cooltube and the whole top is burned.the budsite all crispy,& leaves have curled up an the top part of the stem brown/purple. the rest of the plants leaves were all drooping.
i moved it straight away and watered it & now it seems a little better. but im thinking whether i should cut the top off? all the yellowed dried up bits. i mean, would those parts be able to heal & function if i just left it? Or is it better to cut those bits out?
Any help would be good help.sweetsensi Reviewed by sweetsensi on . Burned Top please help!
I probably would just leave it as is unless the damaged area starts to look "rotted" or something.....burned up is burned up so that won't spread and the plant got enough stress kissing your lamp for awhile so most likely best just to leave as is and let things heal on their own.

Thanks weedhound...yeh thats why i wasnt sure.
Didnt wanna give the plant more stress...but when u say the damaged area looks "rotten", how would that look? becuase the damaged part of the stem looks brownish/purplelish. at the top its all hard but when u go abit lower the stems bit floppy and brownish. Would that be rotten?

By rotten I was thinking more along the line of "mushy" or diseased looking....thinking along disease lines....damaged areas of the plant are more vulnerable to other issues but if the damage is strictly "heat related" or burned it the damaged pard will eventually dry out and I'd cut any ACTUAL DEAD stuff off at that time but I'd give the plant a few days to recover first to see how much plant can be saved and how much can't.
