What religion practice Chakra Healing?
Chakra balancing is a modern therapy used to treat a variety of conditions based on the old Indian philosophies.
It is pretty common these days and I see it being practiced in a lot of Chiropractic and Massage Clinics. Mostly however, it is used in conjunction with other healing modalities such as Reiki or Ayurveda.
I believe it is a spiritual practice not a religious one if that makes any sense?
Any chakra guru's out there?

What religion practice Chakra Healing?
i don't claim to be an expert but i have studied many religions and from my understanding there are several who practice chakra related healing. some groups call it different things but they are talking about the same concept. some new age followers practice it as well as reiki healers. buddhists and hindus have beliefs associated with chakra's. buddhist influenced cultures like China, Japan, etc. use practices like moxibustion and accupuntcure which relate to proper flow of chi (ki, qi, various names depending on the group) by releasing blockages in chakras.
hope some of this helps answer your questions... while there is a lot of good info online to research, always make sure you have a reliable source. while i do sometimes enjoy wikipedia it is a HORRIBLE source as far as reliability goes.

What religion practice Chakra Healing?
I'm a Buddhist, specialising in the historical development of things like chakras in modern thought. Chakra 'healing' is primarily Tibetan Buddhist/Bon, with some references in Shivaism and the Upanisads. However, most of what is thought as valid chakra work here in the West doesn't actually have any ancient basis at all, and was in fact invented by Theosophy (particularly a loon called Rev. Leadbeater, who lied through his teeth about all manner of things paranormal) just over a hundred years ago. There are no planets, incenses, illnesses, crystals, etc., etc., with connections to chakras anywhere to be found in the original chakra systems, which worked perfectly well for over 3,000 years until Theosophy came along.
Almost every single modern book you can find on the subject propagates Theosophical ideas on the subject, and not authentic traditions. Even the third-eye was invented by Theosophy (Blavatsky) and it too has no connections in either Hinduism or Buddhism.
Theosophy is a mass of racist lies and distortions, and has shown to be such tens of times over the years, but it still influences our ideas, regardless.

the word chakra (iirc) comes from the sanskrit/hindu lineage, the same concept (or close aproximations) can be seen both further east and further west (and likely forward n backward in time too, if u can manage to find anything older (unlikely)).
"meridians" might be another word to add to your search.
i dont remember what it's called in any of the american shamanic practices, but they have an awareness of such things too.
MelT usually knows his stuff.
