Ever wonder where the government get their drug slang?

I sent a message to the ONDCP Clearinghouse that went a little something like this:

I was reading your list of drug terms for marijuana and was
hoping you
>tell me where you came up with some of them. It seems like according

And to my suprise they actually wrote me back saying this:

Thank you for contacting ONDCP. We use a variety of sources for our
street terms database, including law enforcement and health agency
reports.
