optimal spectrum vs maximum lumens sqf?
I have a few questions? I have 2 options and would like some advice regarding 2k of light's. Not sure which is going to give better yeild, I was thinking Growzilla dual bulb air coolable hood, with 1k hps, 1k mh = 266,000 lumens /48 sqf = 5541 , or 2k hps 290,000 = 6041 lumens per foot. The only problem is electric bill I figured something like 56.73 kw per day or 1701 k per month.
Prop 215 strictly by the law. My energy bill would double, wouldn't that raise a flag. I had also thought 1k of lights
possibly 600 hps and 400 mh (in growzilla as well )so total lumens would be 127,000 /48sq= 2645 lumens per foot, to low for ideal growth, either setup would be on a light mover. This option would lower my kw per day by 12 so 44.73kw per day. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advancenuggiespl Reviewed by nuggiespl on . optimal spectrum vs maximum lumens sqf? This would strictly be for flowering plants 12 hr only, I have 2 t-5 4 bulbers, for veg 24hr. 764w AC/Heater window unit, 8in exhasust fan ,misc, must haves.
I have read alot of the indoor lighting and didn't see much about this. Thanks

So two lights and not a dual bulb fixture, on a 2-3 ft light mover would yeild more. I think for 6 plants your exactly right. I think I might rig a light mover with dual lights on unistrut to adjust, horiz/vert with 2-3 ft lateral movement
.
Thanks Rhizome you seem to be the only one offering any feedback, and very useful info. Although this website is a pretty much self help when the search is properly used.
What do you think about the power issue, I think I will gradually add lights to help ease into it, but still an additional 1701 per month, =202.00 additional moneys. my highest electic has been a little over 1000kwh, so it would be around 2700 kwh a month . As long as I work, pay my bills on time and stay in the guidelines of 215. No worries right.I have a 3 bed rm house with big 4th room
So I think I remember reading 1k per room so a total of 4k
but what about the overnight x2 almost x3. any thoughts Thanks again my fiend.

When I install a new heating and cooling system for my customers and drop their power bills by half, they get a call from the power company wanting to know what happened.
Doubling your power bill will raise red flags with the power company also... they will call to find out why. If they don't get a satisfactory answer, you may get a knock on your door.
