    LabCorp Chain of Custody

    Hello,

I am going with substitution for a pre-employment screening. I have the LabCorp chain of custody page. Now for reasons of convenience and to heat up the sample I want to go with a non Labcorp lab in my local area (not to mention I know the screener.. she wont cheat for me but she wont go out of her way to make it difficult for me to sub). Now they say they can accept the Chain of Custody form take the sample and send it to LabCorp also billing my new employer. Does anyone see any issues with this? Is it ok to do it at a different collection center if they accept the Chain of Custody and still send to Labcorp? Thanks.

I will answer my own question from my recent experience. If you look around you will find labs that accept the Chain of Custody form. Just call them. Sometimes this is the way to go since these labs dont deal with drug screening all the time and thus are a little more lenient. They also wont be as crowded. The lab I chose had no blue toilet water, did not care if I flushed or washed my hands and did not make me empty my pockets. They collected the urine and had LabCorps courier come and pick it up. They also actually didnt charge me and I was told Labcorp would charge the employer. I also found out that certain Hospitals will accept the forms also. A hospital lab is such a busy place, they could care less if you cheat or not. Oh yeah obviously I was able to Sub with no issues whatsoever.

Chain of Custody form is a glorified lab slip. Basically it is a legal document that ensures when you pass your sample off to the lab that they get it and pass it on. Im sure there is more to it that someone that workd in the labs can elaborate on.

No way to tell how much that holds. You would have to measure its volume somehow if it isn't labeled on the vial.
