Can the smell of growing bud get out of hand?

sup, recently ive been really thinking of starting a small indoor closet grow. im planning on ordering some northern lights seeds and plant maybe 5 seeds, get them to breed for the purpose of getting more seeds.

the only place I can grow in my house would be a closet in a basement room with no windows. will the smell of 2-3 flowering female northern lights be enough to tip off neighbours? the people im living with are completely cool with it, the neighbours are my only worries.

    thanks
