Obama / McCain Presidential Debate from Mississippi - 9/26/08
I am one of those people that can not fully afford school even though I have a job. I work my ass off and I even have a decent paying job. Yet, with the raising prices of EVERYTHING lately, I still can not afford schooling. I've paid off several credit cards and a few loans in the past few months. Yet even though I'm making a little more money and spending A LOT less on non-essentials, it seems like I'm worse off then I was back when I had a bunch of debt.

McCain just wants to cut taxes for wealthy businesses. How will that help the little people out? It isn't. They will be too greedy to pass on the savings and will continue with what they are doing anyways. So the rich just continue to get richer and the poor get poorer. Not because of lack of motivation of the "poor", but because the conditions become harder for them because of what the government is doing.
McCains experience in the military holds no ground with me. He plays that card as often as possible. If he has so much "experience", why is it that Obama's views are much more effective in what they would accomplish? He realizes that we need to be smart with our forces instead of just attack whoever we do not agree with. That right there shows that his lack of "experience" means nothing, because he has the intelligence to realize that most of what we have done with the current wars has hurt our reputation around the globe. He realizes that we need to re-establish our reputation instead of continue to tarnish it with wars that did not or do not need to happen.
Obama also realizes that we need to look at why we are in Iraq and how it affected us by going there. Ignoring that like McCain wants to do is not a very good way to come up with a credible solution for what to do from here.
Obviously, Obama DOES understand.
