From a rhetorical point of view, it is probably a bad debate technique to say, ''well, John you're right...'' as much as he did. But each time that he started off that way, he ended by describing a differrence. I think it is gentlemanly to say things like, "I agree with you on this much, but this is where I disagree." That is the root of bipartisanship. McCain makes a lot of talk about being bipartisan, but he won't talk about points of common agreement --- makes you wonder how bipartisan he really is.
