I decided to start this thread as a reminder to all you growers that hunting season is here and be aware of this. This means that people are going to be in the woods along with you and precautions are going to be needed. I have lost my share of crops this time of year for this reason.

Some things to keep in mind:

When visiting your crops remember most hunters wear ca mo and are hard to see and most deer hunters are in tree stands with binoculars and can see you way before you see them.

Try only visiting your plants on Sunday. Reason for this is hunting in most states is not allowed and lessens the risk of being spoted.

Use a different path every time when visiting your plants. If you follow the same path every time it becomes more noticeable and can be mistaken for a deer path leading a hunter directly to your crop.

Do not go to your plot in the early morning or at dusk!!! This is prime hunting time and can lead to a very serious accident. A hunter may mistake you for a deer and shoot. I don't know about you. I have heard many of story where Billy Bob got drunk off his ass and went hunting. Well Billy Bob might not see to clearly in the dim light and take a shot.

LASTLY IF YOU ARE A HUNTER AND STUMBLE ONTO SOMEONES PLOT " REMEMBER THE GROWERS AND SMOKERS CODE OF ETHICS AND WALK AWAY"
Don't be a moron and think you hit the Jackpot.
