All the people that are going to hurt him the most are his biggest supporters just because they can't shut the fuck up! Even if the mainstream media ignores it, people will know anyway! It's kinda sad, but not really since I don't want to live in a...um..more socialist state I guess.
FUCK!

Where was McCain's Flag Lapel Pin?
Holy shit this is crazy haha.
A flag pin shouldn't matter regardless of the candidate. We should be caring about shit that matters like, I dunno, actual conversations of political importance.
This thread is so biased from both sides and way off the real point.
But looking at it from a "political bullshit" stand point I could see that since McCain is seen as very pro-American and Obama has had some trouble getting the White 18-60 Middle America crowd (for all sorts of ridiculous reasons besides his actual politics). Whatever thats fine.
These Middle America people are looking for any reason to make hun look bad to begin with so when they notice he's not wearing a pin they leap on his ass about it. They think the pin reflects his patriotism and by not wearing it proves to them that he in fact, doesn't love America like they do.
The people who actually believe this are stupid. These are the same people who watch the news and take it face as. They read urban legends from strangers online and believe them as fact (hey did you know you only use 5% of your brain or about the rapists in the backseats of your car, these gems) and they are the same people who flip the switch all Democrat or Republican because "gosh, my family is Democrat/Republican and thats how they raised me".
The point is is that this whole thread is pointless. It's a non-issue.

mccain wasn't trying to make a point by not wearing a flag pin...obama tried to make a political point by not wearing one, and then tried to make another political point by wearing one, and scored two points for mccain in the process
mccain is going to lose on big points, not little flag points...he's on an anger campaign now, pandering to the voters that his campaign advisor (phil gramm) recently dismissed as whiners...i think obama and the dems in general need to cowboy up and stand firm...they should stop letting the repubs push them around with petty accusations about sexism, lacking patriotism, not supporting the troops and being a secret muslim that teaches five year olds how to have anal sex with a homosexual
looks like obama got a little bump from the debate:

And this thread is still alive. If it makes it to two pages I'll just be a sad panda.

Ha ha!
I think the original poster's point was that the whole lapel pin "controversy" is a load of bullshit and always was. It's totally meaningless, and yet McCain supporters had made a HUGE deal over the fact the Obama did not always wear one. (Fact is sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't, but when he doesn't, it is not meant as a statement).
The fact that McCain didn't wear one at the debate is meaningless too, except for the fact that he and his supporters had made such a big deal in the past about Obama not wearing his all the time.
The point in bringing it up is not about whether McCain's patriotism is really in question because he didn't wear his pin --- of course not --- it's about the irony of him showing up without it, and the hypocrisy of the whole meaningless controversy that McCain supporters raised in the first place.
Ha ha! I think it is hillarious that he didn't have the pin on, because his own BS has now bit him in the ass.
I bet you he somehow just forgot to put it on, and as soon as he walked out on stage, there were probably about a dozen of his staffers running around in a panic backstage "Oh my God! HE DOESN'T HAVE HIS PIN!!!!!" They were probably trying to figure out if they could somehow sneak it out to him! Maybe toss it to him while Obama was talking! They would probably be less mortified if he was standing on stage with his dick hanging out his fly!!!!
And the other hillarious thing is that there are probably a segment of true dumbasses out there who were supporting him before who will take the pin screwup seriously and ACTUALLY NOT VOTE FOR HIM!!!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I love seeing the self-righteous burned with their own hypocrisy!

Its hard to believe that anyone would actually believe that we only use a portion of our brain. Anyone who has ever taken a biology or psych course would know that.
