Here we have what I hope is the last of the horribly painful palin inteviews with Katie Couric:

In this one, Couric has separate interviews with Joe Biden and with Palin about the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade. And she also asks whether there are other court decisions they disagree with. I think Biden does a good job with both questions --- whether you agree with him or not, you can tell he has thought about these things.

Palin is her ding-dong self. At one point she agrees with the principle that Roe v. Wade rests on --- the right to privacy. But she still doesn't agree with the decision --- thinks it should be left to the states. I'm not sure how you reconcile those two ideas.

And then when it comes to the question about other Court decisions, she cannot name a single Supreme Court decision she disagrees with. To be fair, most people can't name many specific Supreme Court cases, but don't you think she would at least try to talk about ISSUES before the court that she cares about? Come on! Church and state? Prayer in schools? Creationism in schools? Right to die? Right to life? Torture? Military tribunals for terrorists? Wiretapping? The court has ruled on some of John McCain's campaign finance legislation --- any opinion on that?

People want to know about the judicial philoosphy of a person who potentially could appoint Supreme Court justices and other judges --- sounds like she has no judicial philosophy whatsoever except that Roe v Wade is wrong! What a dumbass. She's the one on the McCain ticket who is supposed to be appealing to the conservative base and the religious right, and she doesn't have anything to say about the Supreme Court? That is probably their biggest issue!
