    yes, could be a bit of both as well. Hope your ice seed makes it; I have some Ice seeds but no real chance to try them yet.

    We actually had too many heat reated problems with our 400wmh and seedlings so we actually removed it from the grow area completely and now use it in the bloom room. These days we use a 250mh for brand new seedlings and have no problems whatsoever. If it works for you thats great and I loved it for seedlings over 10 days old or so but it caused us problems CONSTANTLY with brand new babies and was really just too strong for them.

    Yes....it won't make your lighting any brighter but ventilating cool air through the hood would make a large difference as to how close you can get your light to your plants by keeping the bulb and reflector cool....lol, that being the fan's job of course.
