At that time is wasn't the "flavor of the week". Giving out low interest housing loans to families that couldn't afford them was. You know, the Democratic way of life. Now Uncle Sam and all the intelligent people that didn't sign their names down to loans that they couldn't pay are going to pay for the stupid.
