Concerned - Being tested for the 1st time

Hi all,

Great site. I'm still concerned about my situation, as I'm being tested for the first time.

I'm going to be tested for pre-employment on Monday 9/29 with Quest, and the test is a 6405 SAP 5-50 GC/MS. I'm scheduled to start employment on 9/30. Last time I smoked was on 9/20. Before that, I smoked on 9/13, and before that, it had been a couple of months. I'm not a heavy user, maybe .25g of weed each time. Essentially I'll have 9 days from the last day I smoked to the day of the test.

I'm 5' 9" male and 160lbs, average build. Ok metabolism.

I was planning on doing the dilution method as per ImN2Pot's guidelines, including the whole creatine/vitamin B thing. I'm wondering if there are any special considerations I should take given that I'll be taking the 6405 SAP 5-50 GC/MS test. Is it still ok to dilute? Also, when should I take an at home test? Any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Any chance of subbing?
You will probably be ok with dillution. I would check yourself 24 hours before the UA. First piss of the morning and see where you're at. Even if you pass the home test still follow the dillution but maybe decrease the gatorade to about 30 ounces.

DONT DILLUTE JUST SUBSTITUTE. Its very easy to substitute with quest or labcorp. The big thhing is TEMPERATURE! So practice, dillution is tricky. Just find some clean pee and practice with substitution.

When you do practice save the clean urine for the real test and use water for practice rounds at home.

Do you think a substitute is necessary in this situation? It would be very difficult/impossible for me to find a substitute, unfortunately.

So I tested my self today, 3 days before I was planning on going in for the real test. I used the first void of the morning, it was quite yellow, midstream. I think I tested negative, but the line in the test region was very, very faint. I've attached a picture that you all can evaluate for yourselves.

This leads me to another question - if I'm testing negative at home today, should I just go in for the real test today? Or is it better to wait till Monday? I have this option because it is "up to me" to get the test done.

Just wait it will geive you a couple more days to clean out, as for reading the test ive never taken a home test so i cant help you out. What ive heard is just keep drinking cranberry juice, but there are way more knowledgable people on here then me. I would just assume the more time you have to clean yourself out the better.

A faint line counts as a line. The test result in the pic is a negative.

Since you apparently have the option of scheduling your own U/A, go ahead and put it off until Monday afternoon. Just for S&G's, take one more home test Sunday morning with your first void upon waking up. If youre continuing to test negative with your first morning voids, then youre good to go. :smokin:

I went in for the test today. Gave the amount required, midstream, of course. However the person collecting then poured it into a small test tube in front of me and said I was all done.

Is the test going to go into the lab now or will they do one of the simple "strip" tests? I'm just wondering if what they did was normal procedure.

If it is getting tested by lab equipment, it is sealed in front of you then a label is placed over the vial and you initial it and usually sign the form and it is shipped off.

If they are going to do the instant test they usually do it in front of you and then if it is non-negative it gets sealed and shipped off as described above.
