Commentary: Sexist treatment of Palin must end

The gist of this commentary is that it's the McCain campaign who is being sexist by coddling and protecting her! Hahahahahaha!

    I agree! Stop the Sexism!

Really, I'm not sure if it is sexism or not. But they keep making the claim that she is ready to be president, but she's not ready for a news conference, and she's not ready to have reporters present when she meets with world leaders (just the cameras, please, she's not really ready, for the rest). She's ready to be president, but she's not ready to take questions?

They keep claiming McCain and Palin are maverick reformers who are going to bring "transparency" to Washington. How about bringing transparency to your own campaign?

Maybe it is sexism, and they don't think the girl is tough enough.

    Here's the article:

Commentary: Sexist treatment of Palin must end

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Frankly I have had it, and I know a lot of other women out there who are with me on this. I have had enough of the sexist treatment of Sarah Palin. It has to end.

She was in New York on Tuesday meeting with world leaders at the U.N. And what did the McCain campaign do?

They tried to ban reporters from covering those meetings. And they did ban reporters from asking Gov. Palin any questions.

I call upon the McCain campaign to stop treating Sarah Palin like she is a delicate flower who will wilt at any moment.

This woman is from Alaska for crying out loud. She is strong, she is tough, she is confident. And you claim she is ready to be one heartbeat away from the presidency. If that is the case, then end this chauvinistic treatment of her now. Allow her to show her stuff.

Allow her to face down those pesky reporters just like Barack Obama did today, just like John McCain did today. Just like Joe Biden has done on numerous occasions. Let her have a real news conference with real questions.

By treating Sarah Palin differently from other candidates in this race, you are not showing her the respect she deserves.

    Free Sarah Palin.

Free her from the chauvinistic chains you are binding her with.

Sexism in this campaign must come to an end. Sarah Palin has as much a right to be a real candidate in this race as the men do.

So let her act like one.

    The poor dear.
I thought Alaskan women could handle themselves... the ones I've known sure as hell can... AND look good in plaid wool while doing it.
Put a pair of Carhartts on that chick and let her show her mettle.

I don't blame the McCain campaign for hiding her. On paper, she looked like a great prospect but once she opened her mouth, oh dear.

If they are going to keep her in that glass box, I hope they punch some air holes. And don't forget to feed her.

Ha ha! You post commentary all the time, just not labeled as such!

This is an opinion piece, so it should be called that. I'm just being honest.

I have an fundamental issue with the way things work regarding this and similar issues:

day 1: She shows up on tv and all the talk is about her being sexy and hot and all is considered compliments, etc to the point even Pakistan's president wants to hug her lol

Sometime along the way: Things get out of hand. why to begin with something irrelevant to politics to get to this point, i have no idea.

    and as p4b says

    "have a good one"

ps. no plagiarism, i cited source and i really wanna ask u something:

does this mean have a good one as have a good day/night or is it like have a good one as in a joint/smoke:jointsmile:?

my brain gets itchy every time i read this trademark of yours lol

See when the press is cut out, we miss out on precious moments like this:

CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time Blog Archive - Pakistanā??s president tells Palin she is ā??gorgeousā?? Ā« - Blogs from CNN.com

Pakistan's president tells Palin she is 'gorgeous'

NEW YORK (CNN) ā?? Sarah Palin and the foreign leaders she has met with in New York have said very little to reporters over the last two days, but the press happened to be in the room on Wednesday for one eyebrow-raising exchange, as the new president of Pakistan lavished praise on Palin's looks.

On entering a room filled with several Pakistani officials this afternoon, Palin was immediately greeted by Sherry Rehman, the country's Information Minister.

"And how does one keep looking that good when one is that busy?," Rehman asked, drawing friendly laughter from the room when she complimented Palin.

    "Oh, thank you," Palin said.

Pakistan's recently-elected president, Asif Ali Zardari, entered the room seconds later. Palin rose to shake his hand, saying she was ā??honoredā? to meet him.

Zardari then called her "gorgeous" and said: "Now I know why the whole of America is crazy about you."

"You are so nice," Palin said, smiling. "Thank you."

A handler from Zardari's entourage then told the two politicians to keep shaking hands for the cameras.

"If he's insisting, I might hug," Zardari said. Palin smiled politely.

The Alaska governor did not answer questions from reporters at her first two appearances on Wednesday, when she joined McCain in meetings with Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili and Ukrainian president Viktor Yushchenko, and then traveled downtown to meet with Iraqi president Jalal Talabani.

But she did offer brief remarks to a reporter at the Zardari meeting who asked about her day.

"It's going great," Palin said. "These meetings are very informative and helpful, and a lot of good people sharing appreciation for America."

    --------------

I told you this whole thing was a "speed-date!" Looks like she landed herself a horny Pakistani!

This probably never would have happend with Hillary, but if it had, this guy would still be icing his balls which would have been kicked form his crotch up into his empty noggin.

good one; lol!! Ya gotta love it! Especially, now that McCain was so eager to suspend his campaign! Another way to hide her. Needs bigger air holes for airheads!

You have to admit, McCain and Palin are entertaining. He says one thing, she another! Should be interesting! That is why she is being treated like this. She needs some brass ovaries for that brass garden she is playing in!

This is the strangest campaign of my time! hell with the glass ceiling, I think we need to go for a cement one, because weez going downhill if she cannot take a good press conference! Hopefully, she is being prepped for it, as we peck at our PC's about her!

I've known women in their '80's (in Wisconsin) that were hunters also, wore plaid and had supper on the table at 5! I am anxious to hear about more than anti-abortion or anti-women's rights! Apparently, we are going to be so busy with the economy, no-one's rights will matter. So, keeping her in the glass box, seems like a good idea.

These are frightening times! We can worry about legalization for mmj nationwide. But, the politics have broken the financial backbone of this nation! I use to think it was the insurance Co, then the high cost of medical care and now I am sure: Politics have broken the backbone of our country. And we need to hunker down, get our stocked up on canned goods, soil, nutes and seeds! It is gonna be a long one!

I would like to hear more of her views of the economy and issues in front of a reporter without a leash! Again, I think they need to drop party lines and just put the 4 names on the ballot and let us choose Pres and VP; regardless of party!

It does appear as though McCain has placed her up on a pedestel and :wtf: then shoved it somewhere! pr

they are indeed entertaining and we keep ourselves busy with the "joke" of our politics. however I have a view that politics in MANY countries are just a mere joke, its just that some are not too funny and some are ridiculously hilarious. and some are in bad taste.

maybe there is a reason the religion has "thy kingdom come"

no politics, no democracy, no bullshit. str8 system & orders from the man himself!:rastasmoke:
