watering
before i start my grow, i noticed a lot of people talking about a watering cycle for hydro...a few questions
1. with a DWC can you let the air pump run 24/7?
2. with a drip system, can you let it drip 24/7?
3. with a drip system should you add an air stone for more oxygen?
i'm new and don't want to ruin expensive seed

watering
I am letting my deep water pump run 24/7 and am in fact running a dual pump with 2 air stones. These have been running for 24 days of growth and I am now in the 22nd day of flowering. Running the pump 24/7 I am adding water with fertilizer every other day because the water level drops. Every 4-5 days I pour pure water into the root pots . I have have not done a complete flush and the plants are doing very nice. I am using fox farm nutes and a four gallon dwc. Not a expert by far but this is working great for me. The lights just turned on so the fans are drooping a little bit.

TPF the answer to all is YES.
I suggest starting your seed in a different medium such as a rapid rooter plug, which you can then put into hydro when you see it has roots. Some growers make a little wick out of a piece of nylon cord that hangs from the reservoir to the roots of the young plant so that it gets a bit of moisture, but with drip you should not need that.
The 'waterfarm' style of hydro buckets are a hybrid drip ring and DWC. There are many people on here growing beautiful plants with that type of system.
