In *most* states, the law reads "Under the influence of a controlled substance in or around a motor vehicle" or very simular verbage. You don't have to be the driver to get busted, or even *IN* the vehicle...

It goes back to what you do in the privacy of your *OWN* home, is nobody elses business....however, what you do in public, is subject to scruteny. Don't put yourself in a position where somebody has to do something about it in the first place.
