I use a 24/7 drip and it is working well, so far.
As long as the water is well aerated the roots are happy.
Raised 4 girls that way with good yield.
Of course, your milage may vary
.
Have one momma in a 6 gallon bucket with no drip. No water pump, no timer, just a honkin' big airstone and a decent air pump
Ran a few wicks from the netpot to just above the water surface.
The roots grew down the wicks and filled the bucket.
Been 4 weeks now and it's the healthiest WW I've ever grown, or seen for that matter.
All the more impressive because she's a 100% LED grow and only 45Watts of 10 Red 660nm. and 3 blue 450nm.
I do listen to "experts" but always with a pinch of salt.
Usually plant a few more than I need so I can :weedpoke::weedpoke::weedpoke:.
Have found that conventional wisdom is not always as wise as I thought.
Plant extra, play around with 'em, Share your discoveries.
That's what I love about the web.
Good luck.
