Pretty much lost.
Please fill out the trouble shooting form. There are a multitude of questions we need answered in order to properly diagnose your problem.

but, I'm going to chalk this up to two things for you without seeing a picture and without you filling out the troubleshooting form, these answers are not definite but rather just a guess off the top of my head. If you want a more accurate picture you will HAVE to fill out the troubleshooting form
I am going to guess your soil is probably too hot for your seedlings, meaning it has nutrients in there and is not neutral.
Secondly you let your soil dry out, I am guessing you are not keeping the medium saturated enough. Seedlings like a warm humid environment. If your soil is drying out it is likely you are not keeping your medium saturated enough with PH'd water creating two problems.
1. Your root system is getting damaged at a very early age
2. Your environment is too dry/arid and your plants are dying off.
Combine that with your store bought soil which probably contains nutes and I bet you that those are both of your problems.
Please post pictures, and fill out the troubleshooting form.
