Ok..so i've been wanting to get my operation going for a long time now, so i'm pretty familiar with all the info...I read all the noob guides and most of the sticky's, but its all pretty relative till you actually DO IT.

I live in an apartment, but im positive my place, and specifically my closet (where my grow will be) wont ever be searched..plus im putting a lock on the closet door for added security. I added a diagram of my set-up below, and as you can see..i want to use half of it for closet space..partly because i still need to put my clothes in it, and also i'm going to make it look as if the closet is half the size by putting a divider up and making it look like wall. Part of the divider will be move-able for me to get through (of course!) and it will have an intake and exhaust with carbon filter to reduce smell. So the space im left with is a 5x4x8 area.. I want to grow 4 plants (good # of plants/space?).. using the "Digital Electronic Ultimate 400" from HTG..Most likely tommorow ill place an order for White Widow, Northern Lights, or Blueberry from one of the seed banks.

Couple questions i had:
-Is that light enough?

-Will smell be a huge factor outside of the closet..even with the carbon filter..or should i get a de-ionizer for in the "closet" part of the closet?

-The seeds are being shipped to Texas and i was just curious if anyone had first hand experience with this (i know its a question that gets repeated alot, but im just trying to put my mind at ease)

-Will a fan intake be enough to keep the climate right in the closet? with my apartment air conditioner running will the plants be good?

Sorry for dumb questions that get repeated alot..i read alot about those questions, but i just wanted to get them answered relative to my situation..

Sounds like you have a plan... I think the light will be sufficient for 4 plants, as long as you don't let them get super tall.

Your intake fan will need to be pulling cooled air into the closet in order to keep the temps in check... If I were you I'd get everything set up the way you intend to do it, and then fire up the light & let it run for a few hours... Then see what your temps are. If they are in an unacceptable range, then you'll know you need to adjust... add more intake, stronger exhaust blowing thru your carbon filter, something.
Get everything dialed in before you actually start germinating seeds... Especially if you're going to be using expensive ones
