Quitting Weed.. Peep it
Well today is day eight not smoking..
I must say, I feel clear headed, witty, and way wealthier.
If you are thinking about quitting or taking a break, let me say, its worth it.
I have only been smoking for about 3 years and it was a good time, weed is amazing.. but I realized I wasn't very productive anymore.
Don't get me wrong, I was still taking care of what I needed to do and I was responsible with my use but upon taking weed out of my life I just felt drastically better. All my friends just sit around and get high all day, from the outside looking in, its pretty pathetic.
Like many of you, I felt like I was still fine and you know "its just weed", but seriously, taking a little break will make you realize that weed does slow you down and holds you back, wether it be school, fitness, relationships, whatever.
I challenge anybody to stop for a week, save money, lower your damn tolerance.
or not..
just keep staying high.. lol. Just figured I'd shareJunket Reviewed by Junket on . Quitting Weed.. Peep it Well today is day eight not smoking.. I think it's great that you have found a way to make your life better  That's always a plus. Unfortunately, I have already taken your challenge and it has proven ineffective
See... Cannabis helps my life. I have already figured that out over the past 10+ years. When I go without smoking... I have major symptom flare-ups that make life very difficult. Thankfully, I too have found a way to make my life better... and that way is through Cannabis.
Some key things to remember... Cannabis affects people differently. There are fundamental differences between the terms "I" and "You."

I've got things taken care of over here though :hippy:

yeah good luck with all that.
To me, weed makes me much more productive, it doesn't make me just sit around and smoke all day. plus, my bank account is still pretty fat even with the weed, so i guess what im saying is I can handle my self while on weed and i still take care of business so everything is good, but if you realized it was having an ill affect on you, then at least you're making the steps to take care of yourself.
there's been a drought down south where i live so i've been out for about a week and i feel way less productive, im tired all the time, i get nervous a lot, i have stomach pains, and my knee is constantly bothering me due to an old injury. When I smoke, all of that is gone. so as you can see, its helped me way more than it has harmed me.

It's just a difficult post to respond to on a Medical Cannabis site... when it involves straight forward claims of "weed does slow you down in all areas of your life." Most people here have made the decision, either independently or by recommendation of a doctor, to use Cannabis.
I dropped out of high school when all I did was drink and smoke butts. Now, I don't drink or smoke cigarettes... but I smoke (a lot) of Cannabis and I hold a 4.0 gpa in college.
They offered a challenge... and I accepted  That's it...

weed can make people productive OR unproductive... its not a general thing with all people.
My experience tells me this: Weed on daily basis on a social setting with similar people that u r describing usually leads to more failure than success cuz it becomes a Chill-only loop and lots of peer pressure.
I for one had to cut all the crappy people off completely when i wanted to quit smoking, and since then I have been able to focus more on my real issues in life.
here is what i think usually happens to many people: u may well fall into that unproductive loop and a break will simply make u understand what went wrong, u will quit weed for a good while and will later return for solitude with mary jane with a bit of permanent cut down on your consumption.
I for one enjoy my solitude with weed than smoking it with that crowd... not that i dont smoke with people ever again, but i will only smoke with like minded people and i wont be smoking 5 blunts a day... i like my high and if i cant get high its time to take a lil break.
1.5 years on break and got 2 occasions to smoke, 1 during ike last week. but i know im not gonna smoke for a long time again.
however the day i have my place and job and have everything going good, i will enjoy mary jane far more frequently perhaps on near daily basis or at least weekly

i think thats why i don't really have any of the adverse affects, like what junket was talking about, because the majority of the time, I smoke alone. I like to be able to smoke enough to get pretty damn high, but not to where im completely baked. I mean i do that on occasion, but only when I don't have anything else going on and I still smoke with friends on the weekends and stuff, but if its a weekday or if i have to go to work or whatever, i just smoke enough to get high then im done.

now, if i was in a situation to have constant supply of weed, nothing in means of my personal changes from the social cut up time would differ from my sober status right now.
"I" made mistakes, i dont blame weed for it, cuz now i can have weed and not make those mistakes! my mind is at ease and peace
and thats why im here, to learn how to have my very own supply without having to rely on any1 else, when the situation is right to start a grow
i think what it goes back to is: why u like weed
many like it for hipness or for socially being accepted by peers, some like it for itself and the feeling they get with it. i think the 2nd group are the more successful ones in general and no i have no sources to cite but my own reasoning

i find that after immersing myself in weed for a while and then taking a long break can make sobriety that much more... interesting and enlightening... dare i say trippy?
i stopped for 3 months voluntarily, and i was very pleased to hear myself singing again... i wasn't scatter-brained. the world looked just as new to me as it did when i started smoking and first saw the world through cloudy vision. it was like a dream i'd almost forgotten (lol how dramatic).
that being said, i do enjoy my relationship w/ cannabis, and am looking forward to starting it up again responsibly (i was a bit of a..um..a fucking pothead in college lol) i smoked a few weekends in a row recently, but i am back on the wagon (job searching).
so hopefully in another month or so i'll be ready to toke up again, but until then.. i am definitely enjoying not having to fight the munchiesand it's saving me money on Peanut Butter lol
