    Move 'some' plants outdoors?

I have some plants currently growing indoors BUT the problem is they're growing under floros...and i've let them grow too long and get too tall because I didn't know to put them into flowering already.

I'm thinking about moving a couple outside just to see how they do because I know it cant hurt worst than they are now. The rest of them look real healthy and of course the bottom half isn't quite as healthy but all around they look alot better.

Now, I have two questions..would it be ok to stick them outside (they're currently on 18/6) so it would be like basically putting them through flowering?

    2. it's getting kinda late in the year for where I live at and if it gets too cold I would get scared and wanna put them back inside. But should I leave them inside under the floros or just let them sit inside to make sure they dont get frosted..

thank you for taking the time in reading this :smokin:

As long as you live somewhere where the last frost is 55 days (at least ) from when you move them out you have a chance. You might want to rig up a temp. greenhouse. If you are as far south as NC, Texas, S cal you could get away with it. You could always top them and keep them inside as it is pretty late in the year for oving them.

top them, i've heard of this but not familiar with the procedure(sorry i'm very new at this) would that help me get light to the rest of the plant long enough for the flowering cycle?

Did you put them outside? If you did te sun will get to all the branches and do its job.
Inside the actal depth of the light penatration depends on the light. The bigger and stronger the light, the taller your plants can be. If you stay with the flouro lights only the buds within 12" willbe OK. (I am guessing as I never have grown under flouros). Just cut the plants off low and let them get bushie. Read about LSt and scrog in here

Well I decided against that since it's getting so cold already but i got another fixture and actually moved them 1 per pot =\, that was a big holdback but being my first time I didn't know..

I would switch the light to 12/12 and get the flouro close to the top of the plants. The top buds will be the best. You will see that the plants have not too much mass at that level. Next time top the plants or LST train them to maximize the amout of growing shoots that there are close to the lights..
