Continue Flowering with Two, T5 4 ft 4 bulb fixtures?
Greetings,
I have been flowering with two T5 4 ft 4 bulb fixtures for 5 weeks now. I just received a new 400 Watt HPS. Should I remove the T5's and install the 400 watt hps? I appear to be having great results with the T5's but I am also very curious about the performance of the HPS, but then again should I just wait to use the HPS on my next grow?
Any recommendations? Swap them out or wait?
Very Best Regards,

you should use both I am using 2 t5's and I am struggling with the lower sections of the plant getting light my plants are about 3.5ft tall and having to keep the them @3in away from the bulbs(heat) is sucking I wish i had a HPS. I would recoment you put the HPS 2ft above the plants and rig the T5s too either side of plants to get more light too middle and lower sections of plant, got some pics?

No, no pictures at this time...6 x 6 box inclosed in a out building. Limited power availability. Already running additional boxes, therefore, I can only use the two T5's or sawp out to the 400 Watt hps...decisions, decisions. Running enough fans at the moment with the T5's but I feel that I may have to wait for cooler weather before using the HPS, I may try it tommorrow. Thank you Veggii...!

Yes you should change to or even add the HPS to the existing lighs.
Will make a big difference for sure.

I would finish this grow with the T5's. It'll let you see how well they do compared to the hps. I've used the T5's for a couple grows and they did very well. I've switched to a 1000w hps and the only difference I've seen so far is the they mature maybe a week or 2 faster with the hps, but the bud size is about the same.

Thanks Killerweed420...
My very same thoughts. I have AK47 and WW together and they appear to be doing okay under the T5's for now. I built a 4x4 screen today for future SCROG using the AK47 and the WW...
Not sure that I should scrog both strains together under a 400 watt hps and maybe T5 on the side as supplemental lighting. Anybody have any opinion about scrog these two strains together or separate them into two different scrogs all together by strain?
