Everything went great except that after checking the temp on the temp strip(98)
I handed my sample over, then she set it on the counter while opening the small vial. She then poured the sample into the vial, THEN glanced at the temp strip. She then marked on the form later 94! Will this be suspicious?
Nope, not at all.

For one, the temp was still within the acceptable limits of 90 -100 degrees.

Second, a temperature drop is to be expected when transferring warmed up liquids into an empty container of cooler temp.

The nurse's procedure was improper to begin with. The nurse should have recorded the temp on the test form first, before transferring the sample into a vial. The sample temp must be checked and recorded within 4 minutes after submission.

The nurse was a substitute for the regular co. nurse and I'm worried she might have screwed up.
