I know this isn't MJ related but...
I was walking home and stumbled upon this fruit bearing tree
It looks like a cherry but it has outward spikes that were not very hard
the inside was the consistency of a banana (maybe softer) but looks like mango flesh and smells like a pumpkin
The unripe fruit was a yellowish green which was turning orangish red and the ripe ones looked dark red this is a picture of ones that are almost fully ripe
I taste tested it to see if it was sweet it has a bit of a watery-mango taste to it (i didn't eat it! just licked it lol)
on another note... just got done baking some cookie-brownies mmmmmm:hippy:
Was wondering if anyone knows what this is?
Is it an edible fruit I am not aware of?

interesting.....I've never seen one........have you tried google? I found out about a fruit that way once.

I thought it might of been a mulberry at first, but when I looked at pics on google they looked nothing alike lol:jointsmile:

neat!! it looks almost like a lychee nut but orange. Some people love lychees, personally I don't care for them.
I'd like to find some of those things you found though. Maybe I can pick some up at Whole Foods or Central Market or down at the mexican farmers market :thumbsup:

I know this isn't MJ related but...
Revanche try just googling "marina" or marina fruit......i think mine was a mix of two trees and the actual one that is the same as yours seemed to be Marina.
