    Cloning question

    Hello,

I have a question about the cloning of a female plant.

I have one that is almost at the end of its flowering stage. The only branches that I could use had only one large fan leaf on the end of it. It was left too far away from the light and grew tall and lanky. I had others going at the time so I wasn't sure if this one was going to be a male or female. Turns out this thing has the largest bud clusters I have seen yet. So naturally I would like to clone her and grow properly this time to see what she does.

So like I said, there were no other branches to remove that show multiple nodes and other branches coming from it. Thats all I had to work with. I have clipped a couple of them off and tried to root them using all the guides I have seen so far. Its in a container with a clear lid to help with the humidity.

Just wondered if anyone else here has had any luck doing it this way, or do the branches have to have multiple "sub" branches.

Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cloning question

Cloning really needs to be done well before bud-set- up to week 3 of flower is possible, but cloning during veg is much less likely to show problems from rot and re-veg stress. You need the growing tip, a couple small fresh fans, and a lower node to strip for a good clone.

    Cloning question

This late into the flowering stage, I would just re-veg and take clones from there. Your cloning process will be delayed because she is so late into flowering. Also, this way you could get more than one clone.

This is what I would do. It will take longer but I think that it would be worth it.

I'd love to, but she is already over 3 feet tall. I just had no idea it was going to grow as well as this. Its a seed mix that I got so I never thought it would do this....

Well I will keep my fingers crossed.

You can re-veg after harvest. Are you familiar with this practice?

No I'm not familiar with it, sounds interesting though... is there a quick breakdown on how this is done? Like does the plant get cut down to a lower height?
