Hey this is a friends set up and i want to know if he is doing this right and if not what improvements would you suggest. i have not been able to identify these plants so if someone can please help me with that that would be great. He has four flourescent lights about 1 foot away and the plants have a 8 hours off and 16 on schedule. its been appr. 3 months since they have sprouted. p

read the forums. but just by looking i would say bigger pots and lower the floros way closer to the plant.

after putting them in bigger pots and lowering that light you also should consider flowering them right away in a 12/12 lighting schedule. it will produce better buds if you try to flower with those lights. but by the looks on how those plants are stretched out i doubt your going to get a high yeild. also what kind of air you got going in and out? do you have a fan on it>? are you going to use nutes?

lose the tin foil use some flat white paint or buy some emergency blankets from wallmart there like 2.98 or something

depending on how much hight you have in there id lower the lights and possibly try some low stress training if its not too late. start a little bit at a time make sure you dont break the plant

i cant really tell from the pics but make sure you have some sort of ventilation

you mean 3 weeks right?? Whether its 3 weeks or 3 months, they seriously need more light. Move the lights down closer to the plant because they're really thin and stretched out. As long as you have proper airflow, you should be able to have your plants within 1 inch of the CFL's. If its really 3 months, you should probably flower it now because it wont it wont support much bud and letting it stretch even more would make the problem worse. Cut your losses and start a new, improved grow. Dont let a weak plant hold you back!

ya i kinda agree with medicine. first thing i would do tho is read stinkyattics threads on how to grow the dankness and all other threads created for beginners and then plan then grow. i spent about 2-3 months reading through this whole forum before i grew. i never once asked questions until after i read the forums. after reading these fine threads i basically had no questions at all and only minor minor ones later down the road. my first grow was a great success!

I use floros and i keep my lights like just a few inches away from the plant and i've even came in the room and my plants been touching the light for almost a full day's time or more and no sign hardly at all from burn..

I was told about 2-4" won't hurt, especially if they're meant for the purpose of only growing plants u shouldn't have to worry about it burning the leaves just keep em a little bit off the top of the plant

I have a 4 foot shop light fixture that is flat white with two bulbs inside of it. It doesn't do TOO bad, my plants are healthy looking just not alot of light gets to the bottom half of the plant. But I learned I let them grow too tall so that's obviously the problem but i'm planning on getting another fixture with two more bulbs because the 4' bulbs are cheaper than the smaller ones, they're like less than 10 dollars each and the fixture is 10 dollars as well..so that makes for a pretty low budget grow, which is all I can afford as of right now.

My plants have a real nice aroma to them and they're nice and tall with plenty of growths coming off of them. I have a thread, nothing special but u can read the advice people gave me :rasta:
