It depends a lot on the genetics, and whether when it is quite warm, they are getting GOOD AIR FLOW. By that I mean fresh CO2-rich air, not just fans blowing inside the room.
Try opening your window as soon as the outside temp falls below the inside temp, and putting a box fan in the window to cool it faster so that you don't get that spike to 90.
