Attempting Indoor Grow (input please? =D)

Well..this is obviously my 1st attempt at growing and im on a very low budget light setup that costed me around 30 dollars but...they're shop lights..either way i was hoping i could get some input from some of ya'll fellers..well here's pics..

As you can see...as of right now i have them 2 per bucket. Today I'm going to the store to pick up another 4' light fixture and two more bulbs. There's already problems with not enough light and if i seperated them half the plants would be without light but here's a few more pics..not a whole lot to see but they've done pretty well actually. The soil is moisture control miracle gro brand lol and i let water sit outside in a cooler to "rid it of chlorine" or at least so i'm told..they actually have a real good smell to them and in my eyes they're somewhat healthy looking but obviously there's problems with the lower leaves getting light

o and just in case any wants to know the lights are just from home depot and they're called OTT-LITE (natural light supplement) that's all it says though besides the model number it says nothing about lumens or wattage

You will probably hear from a few "Experts" that you are doing everything "WRONG"!

There are many roads to success.

This is a pretty friendly forum.
If you run into trouble, just ask, and the solid folks around here will help you.
Even raw noobs and amateurs like me will try their best.

Looks like you have a fine start.

Do have a tip for ya.

After the water "sets a spell", and just before it "hits the dirt", aerate it.
Roots in pots need all the oxygen they can get.
It's a simple as half filling a jug then shake the hell out of it to dissolve air.

Easier, with a budget, get a cheap air pump and airstone for aquariums.
Let the water bucket bubble 24/7, (stops mosquitoes from breeding in it too).
Most county/city water supplies now use Chloramine which is a coumpound, instead of Chlorine, the gas.
So it does not dissipate, and takes a while to "break down", that's why they use it.
I believe the bubbler will speed that process.

Drain well, don't overwater, and enjoy!

next time 1 plant per pot. also since your growing with floros you shouldnt let them veg to much and gain height under those lights. people say they get decent buds when they flip it 12/12 right away because if the plants are short those floros will penetrate them better making better buds. dont let em get to tall.

ahh thank you guys alot. See, when i decided i first wanted to grow i did some "research" on the internet from different sites and read up alot about it but they all said the pretty much same things...then i found this place...

i'll look into seeing about that water pump thing but until then and if i cant u say the bottle shaking thing will help? lol

and alright i been thinking about if i should put it through flowering or not i just know about as much about growing pot as a virgin is to having sex so..thank you guys alot for the input i could have possibly messed up already with the whole pot thing cuz my attempted outdoor grow went all crazy half way through flowering when i realized my "females" went "male"...that was a sad day but hey the best way to learn is from your own mistakes so i guess as soon as i get them moved into their own pots and the other fixture set up i'll put them through flowering and i'll try to get some more pictures up and hope for the best, in the mean time i'll appreciate any more help and thank you guys alot

ya i can already see some major problems...they are too tall and about half the plant doesn't even hardly get light much so i've been trying to give them like 1/4 turns hoping i can get a little more plant to see light but i'll just have to see how it goes (hopefully better than my outdoor)

here's an update...finally I found some temporary work so I picked up another fixture and buckets so I can finally move them 1 per pot and get a little bit more light to them..

They are real healthy looking for the most part(most of them) and for being floros they actually get quite a bit of light it seems but of course i'm not expecting to yield anything close to what I could with better lights but just saying IMHO it's not bad for my first attempt even though I made some mistakes


And can anyone tell me how long I should wait before giving them some nutes since i just transplanted



oh yeah and I got a couple of rinky dink grow floros hanging on the sides of the plants to help out with the light problem (they're not much but it's all I had when I started)
