Hi,

I have been reading this forums for some time, and I have just registered to tell you about a interesting project.
A man I know personally and used to work together here in UK is now starting a project he has been telling me about every day. The idea is to get all the strains he can get , store them in cold temperatures for future growers smokers and so on.

they are here... russians!!!! and talking of the doomsday!!!! this is getting me scared now after just reading that chavez + russia wargames thread! lol :rambo:

good thinking though... i know there are a couple of legal seedbanks for normal edible crops like wheat for such doomsday situations, but one for weed and all available strains sounds like a good idea, they need to open up a vault on the american continent too! lol, u know that the potential doomsday will probably have Russia and US on two very different sides!!!

however i checked those pics on the link. if this is a true doomsday plan, it doesnt look like it. no such plan can go ahead with an average guy saving money!!! u will need anti-nuclear bomb/radiation bunkers. u will need strict climate control measures to keep the seeds for the longest possible time. u will need protection from all kinds of severe natural disasters like storms, floods, earthquakes, etc

i admit his building gets some good outside lights from those 2 windows!!! lets hope its not located on some high rise!

this will be a massive project and pretty much an underground one... hardly any structure "standing on earth" is safe on doomsday, perhaps under mountains or deep underground is the most surviving positions

and as far as im aware your friend will have some problems passing all them seeds thru airports!!

As u SHOULD know, cold war have never been ended and is still going on today. But Russia is a lot weaker nowadays. And the vault is located in Latvia by the way. As he said, he lives in a remote location that no one would bomb with tomahawks or smth like that.
And as we spoke about the topic with him, he said that he will go to amsterdam with his private car, and because of Schengen Visa the percentage you get checked on borders is a little small.

Actually we once were in his house, he has a big wine cellar in the basement, maybe that would be a better place? :stoned:

Dude he have bought a environmental room, that u can set on specific temperature and humidity. Also no floods, big storms (except some that can crush only wooden-amercian-like houses, there all the houses are concrete built.) and no earthquakes have been detected in Latvia. When I was living there even winters usually don't get any snow. I think one of the safest country in the world as NATO are getting they F16's and anti missle bases over there.

well, i kinda was jokin up there, didnt mean to sound all that serious!

and all of the points i made was just what i think will be a "real doomsday vault"
in case of a massive worldwide catastrophe that will not spare any country!

all in all i wish him luck and success... if weed becomes decriminalized in a more global scale in future, your friend may get quite rich!

if weed was to become out of this legal taboo situation that it is in worldwide right now... such a collection could turn into a weed museum or something like a prestigious winery... u get the idea
