Hey, not to defend the actions of either candidate in this election seemingly run by P.T. Barnum... but I don't think that was the intent. Obviously, MUCH more research needs to be done before these groups push out propaganda style ads (edit: I just realized I make it sound like they DON'T know what they are doing). The only reference that could be interpreted as making fun of his disability is when they say he "can't send an email." Maybe they should have said "He doesn't know how to send an email." They were just paraphrasing his own statements. People need to know that things have to be heard in context. I'm sure McCain can use a computer. While it is intentional that they string those quotes together to paint a negative picture, they are from his mouth... so it is technically not a lie. The ads that completely skew complex legislation into a one sentence summary are dangerous though. It's like... decriminalizing marijuana means you are Pro-legalizing drugs :wtf:. I hope nobody is making their decision based on these rediculous ads. I can picture Republicans and Democrats alike laughing at all of us buying into this junk. We should all realize now that both parties are contributing to this side-show called an "election."

It was a "clever" :wtf: way to mis-represent McCain's words to make him seem more like the old fart he is. Same way they make it seem like the black guy with a scary name wants to teach 5 year olds how to get their freak on. It is rediculous, childish, and pointless. They all need to grow up and start answering the important questions.

For the first time in my adult life... I am actually nervous about the election results. Let me say again... I am not a member of either party and I have, in no way, made up my mind about the election (and I'm not knocking your thread either P4B :hippy I don't think this is a political debate over who will change and lead our country to greatness... but more like "Who will drive our country into the ground the slowest?"

P.S. I always feel for McCain when I see the troubles he has with his arms. I deal with severe arthritis in a couple joints and it is awful. I can only imagine what he goes through. The fact that he can't tie his shoes (probably in addition to other more private issues) is really quite remarkable. It would be very easy to succumb to the pain and lay back through retirement. I applaud his courage to keep pushing forward in his later years.

But yeah... this election and its advertisements needs to take a hard left turn if it is to be beneficial to the public when trying to make an informed decision. (haha notice I said "hard left"..... coincidence?) Just playing...
