Veterans Outraged Over Obama's Email-Gate Advertisement Against McCain
Obama and Biden denouncing John McCain's inability to be our next president and commander in Chief, should be compared to the fictional characters in the movie Dumb And Dumber!
Obama owes Disabled Veterans an apology for his demeaning TV Ad making fun of Senator John McCain's Military Service injuries. Obama's TV Ad clearly shows he does not respect what our sons and daughters and family members are suffering through when they return home from war with severe injuries and try to adjust back into our society with their disabilities.
Obama has reached the bottom of the political sludge barrel in approving a TV commercial depicting John McCain as Internet illiterate, out of touch and incapable of using email at his age. When in fact, John McCain today serves on the Senate Science Technology Innovation Committee; to include being a former Chairman of the Committee.
It's a well-known fact that John McCain was tortured as a Vietnam POW for years, to the point that today, he cannot raise his arms above his shoulders and has limited use of his hands and arms. The fact that Obama knows this makes his advertisment statement a personal criticism of all U.S. Service Connected Disabled Veterans, to include those who continue to honorably serve our country today with their disabilities!
Veterans are putting national news groups on notice: Obama gets no more free press passes on his sick, unfounded, and outlandish statements without their being economic fallout repercussions from consumers. Obama's out of touch TV Ad against John McCain shows America youth his impaired judgment is only dividing Americans, not uniting them.

What more to be said...."he approved that message" as they say. Going after a disability? Proves once again that Obama is an assclown of the highest proportions.

Do you have a link to the actual ad anywhere? I looked over youtube, but can't find anything like what this article describes. Maybe I need to finish my first cup of coffee here, but I don't see what the article is referring to in talking about attacks on people with disabilities and war veterens. So far, all I see is a jab at his supposed computer illiteracy; tasetless, but a far cry from the accusations in this article.
Meh, I'm gonna go have a wake 'n bake and hopefully the world will all make sense again. Abe Lincoln will be running against Ron Paul (one will have to switch parties), and a third candidate will be available too!

Hey, not to defend the actions of either candidate in this election seemingly run by P.T. Barnum... but I don't think that was the intent. Obviously, MUCH more research needs to be done before these groups push out propaganda style ads (edit: I just realized I make it sound like they DON'T know what they are doing). The only reference that could be interpreted as making fun of his disability is when they say he "can't send an email." Maybe they should have said "He doesn't know how to send an email." They were just paraphrasing his own statements. People need to know that things have to be heard in context. I'm sure McCain can use a computer. While it is intentional that they string those quotes together to paint a negative picture, they are from his mouth... so it is technically not a lie. The ads that completely skew complex legislation into a one sentence summary are dangerous though. It's like... decriminalizing marijuana means you are Pro-legalizing drugs :wtf:. I hope nobody is making their decision based on these rediculous ads. I can picture Republicans and Democrats alike laughing at all of us buying into this junk. We should all realize now that both parties are contributing to this side-show called an "election."
It was a "clever" :wtf: way to mis-represent McCain's words to make him seem more like the old fart he is. Same way they make it seem like the black guy with a scary name wants to teach 5 year olds how to get their freak on. It is rediculous, childish, and pointless. They all need to grow up and start answering the important questions.
For the first time in my adult life... I am actually nervous about the election results. Let me say again... I am not a member of either party and I have, in no way, made up my mind about the election (and I'm not knocking your thread either P4B :hippyI don't think this is a political debate over who will change and lead our country to greatness... but more like "Who will drive our country into the ground the slowest?"
P.S. I always feel for McCain when I see the troubles he has with his arms. I deal with severe arthritis in a couple joints and it is awful. I can only imagine what he goes through. The fact that he can't tie his shoes (probably in addition to other more private issues) is really quite remarkable. It would be very easy to succumb to the pain and lay back through retirement. I applaud his courage to keep pushing forward in his later years.
But yeah... this election and its advertisements needs to take a hard left turn if it is to be beneficial to the public when trying to make an informed decision. (haha notice I said "hard left"..... coincidence?) Just playing...

Blah Blah Fucking Blah. Just more rhetoric. I'm surprised really that the old dirty politics aren't worse than what they are. I think its because we have to minorities running, otherwise you would really see the fur flying. Maybe some of these "Vets" should listen to the old Donovan song. Universal Soldier. It might hit home for a couple of them.

Oops, Obama ad mocks McCain's inability to send e-mail. Trouble is, he can't due to tortured fingers | Top of the Ticket | Los Angeles Times
there's a link to the video
and as far as i can see there is no mention of his military service or time spent as a POW other than the article saying mccains inability
to use computers may stem from injured fingers
and if a video like that really outrages you then you need to go look at the kind of ads the mccain campaign has been running recently
i mean if karl rove says your ads have gone too far then you must be pretty stupid to endorse them

There are all sorts of ways to set up computers to accommodate disabilities. I mean, even blind people are able to use them. So to say his inability to use computers is only a result of his disabilities is disingenuous. It's kind of a low blow on Obama's part, but it is a valid point.

Good point Khronik :rasta:

another non issue...
I read the original and was expecting to be outraged by Obama's poor judgement.
Of course it all seemed silly to me instead.
He is obviously taking a jab at McCains age and out of touchness.
I think that this little political forum is a microcosm for what is happening in America. Here's why:
Few people will deny that this election season has been petty, and a lot of sh*t slinging on both sides. People routinely post on these boards about how they are not discussing the real issues or answering the real questions. Then when an article like the one posted above is displayed, everyone reacts.
I am not saying it is everyone in the discussions, just most of US. So why not lead by example and refuse to buy into the propoganda machine?
Its not easy
