What happens if you fail a drug test?

They'll just let you know that you failed and that's it, right? If you fail a drug test, does it go into your permanent record or something? I mean, will I ever be asked (on employment applications, etc) if I failed a drug test?

In any case, if I fail I figure I'm screwed anyway cause most likely they'll leave a message with my parents, blowing the lid off my secret drug hobby/habit.

most companies are bound by law to keep the info confedantial. you should have some paper work to read and sighn that will explain the procedure.
